GIVING IS RECEIVING proposes Operation Save Eritrean Refugees, a one-year project delivering humanitarian aid and educational technology programs to Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, and Libya. The project supports immediate survival needs, fosters long-term educational growth, and provides digital literacy training to enhance employability and community engagement.
Background and Problem Statement
Eritrean refugees face harsh conditions, including limited access to necessities, education, and technology. Many are survivors of political repression and persecution. Refugee camps often lack proper shelter, nutrition, and educational infrastructure. Without intervention, these populations risk prolonged marginalization and dependence on aid.
Project Goals and Objectives
Our goal is to improve the well-being, education, and digital literacy of Eritrean refugees in East Africa and Libya while providing immediate humanitarian support.
Objectives:
- Deliver food, medical supplies, and shelter assistance to 1,500 refugee families.
- Provide access to digital devices, internet, and online learning resources to 500 youth and adult learners.
- Implement workshops on digital literacy, vocational training, and basic education.
- Monitor and evaluate program impact, ensuring sustainable support and knowledge transfer.
